AZS Bricks
AZS fused brick, also known as fused zirconium corundum brick, is a high-performance refractory material. AZS fused brick is mainly composed of pure alumina powder, zirconium oxide (ZrO2 about 65%) and silicon dioxide (SiO2 about 34%) and other raw materials. After being melted at high temperature in an electric furnace, it is injected into the mold and cooled.
Manufacturing process: Selected zircon sand and industrial alumina powder are mixed in a certain proportion (usually 1:1), and a small amount of Na2O (added in the form of sodium carbonate) and B2O3 (added in the form of boric acid or borax) are added as flux. After mixing evenly, it is melted at high temperature (such as 1800~2200℃) and cast into shape. After cooling, it is cut and processed to make AZS fused bricks with specific shapes and sizes.
Core Product Features:
1. Ultra-high temperature resistance: Formed by electrofusion at 1800~2200℃, it has a much higher refractoriness than conventional refractory bricks and a high load softening temperature. It can operate stably for a long time under high-temperature melting working conditions with no obvious creep deformation.
2. Excellent corrosion resistance: It has strong erosion and corrosion resistance to molten glass, acidic slag, high-temperature flue gas, etc. It can effectively resist chemical corrosion and physical wear of molten materials, greatly extending the service life of equipment linings.
3. Dense and uniform structure: The electrofusion process results in a dense internal structure and uniform composition of the brick, free of defects such as pores and cracks. It features high density, low water absorption and stable thermal conductivity, reducing the risk of structural spalling at high temperatures.
4. Controllable dimensional accuracy: Precision cutting is conducted after cooling and forming, with customizable standard and special-shaped specifications. The brick has high flatness and small dimensional error, adapting to the precise masonry requirements of various kilns and reducing construction difficulty.
5. Good thermal stability: It can adapt to the alternation of cold and heat under high-temperature working conditions with a reasonable thermal expansion coefficient. It is not easy to crack or chip due to sudden temperature changes, ensuring the structural integrity of kiln linings.

AZS-33: The dense microstructure of AZS33 makes the bricks have good resistance to glass liquid erosion, and it is not easy to produce stones or other defects in the glass kiln. It is a widely used product in glass melting furnaces, and is mainly suitable for the upper structure of the melting pool, the pool wall brick and paving brick of the working pool, and the forehearth, etc.
AZS-36: In addition to having the same eutectic as AZS33, AZS36 bricks have more chain-like zirconia crystals and lower glass phase content, so the corrosion resistance of AZS36 bricks is further enhanced, so it is suitable for glass liquids with faster flow rates or higher temperature areas.
AZS-41: In addition to eutectics of silica and alumina, it also contains more uniformly distributed zirconia crystals. In the zirconium corundum brick system, it has good corrosion resistance. Therefore, key parts of the glass furnace are selected to balance the life of these parts with other parts.
