Silicon carbide (SiC) rods, also known as silicon carbide heating elements, are high-performance non-metallic heating elements, made from high-purity green hexagonal SiC via 2200℃ high-temperature sintering. They feature high temperature resistance (up to 1450℃), fast heating speed, long service life, and easy installation, ideal for high-temperature industrial furnaces and scientific equipment.

Main Models & Applications:
(1) GD Series (Equal Diameter Rods)
Uniform diameter design, simple structure and low cost. Suitable for small box furnaces, muffle furnaces in labs and small-scale production. Common specs: Φ8–Φ40mm, length 200–2000mm.

(2) CD Series (Thick-end Rods)
Larger diameter cold ends reduce heat loss, with higher heating efficiency and longer lifespan. Perfect for large tunnel kilns, roller kilns and smelting furnaces in ceramic, glass industries. Common specs: heating section Φ8–Φ30mm, thick-end Φ20–Φ60mm.

(3) U Series (U-shaped Rods)
Bent U-shape for direct hanging installation, saving furnace space. Widely used in compact vacuum furnaces and ceramic sintering equipment.

(4) Custom Shaped Rods
Tailored W-type, plum-blossom type, threaded rods available for special furnace structures and heating requirements.

 SiC Heating Element

High-temperature resistance: In an oxidizing atmosphere, the normal operating temperature can reach 1450℃, and it can be continuously used for up to 2000 hours.

Excellent oxidation resistance: When heated in dry air at high temperatures, a protective layer of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) is formed on the surface of the silicon carbide rod, which endows it with strong oxidation resistance.

Good chemical stability: It has strong acid - resistance. However, it is corroded by alkaline substances at high temperatures.

Fast heating speed: It has the characteristics of fast heating - up, which can quickly raise the temperature of the heated object to the required level, improving production efficiency.

Long service life: With proper use and maintenance, silicon carbide rods have a relatively long service life, reducing the frequency of replacement and maintenance costs.

Easy installation and maintenance: The structure is simple, and it is convenient to install and maintain. It can also be easily matched with an automatic electronic control system to achieve precise temperature control.
