Silicon Carbide Bricks
Silicon carbide brick is a refractory material made of silicon carbide (SiC) as the main raw material. It has the characteristics of high hardness, high wear resistance, high thermal conductivity and good corrosion resistance. Its main component is silicon carbide, and the content is usually between 72% and 99%. Common types include clay-bonded silicon carbide bricks, silicon nitride-bonded silicon carbide bricks, Sialon-bonded silicon carbide bricks, etc.
Classification:
Silicon carbide bricks can be divided into the following categories according to different bonding methods:
Clay-bonded silicon carbide bricks: clay is used as a binder, suitable for occasions requiring high thermal conductivity and thermal shock resistance.
Silicon nitride-bonded silicon carbide bricks: fired through nitriding reaction, with excellent high temperature stability and wear resistance.
Sialon-bonded silicon carbide bricks: combined with Si3N4 and Al2O3 powder, suitable for high temperature and chemical corrosion environments.
Features:
High hardness: The Mohs hardness of silicon carbide bricks is 9, and it has extremely high wear resistance.
High thermal conductivity: It has high thermal conductivity and is suitable for occasions that require rapid heat dissipation.
Corrosion resistance: It has good stability to acidic slag and is suitable for various high temperature and chemical corrosion environments.
Thermal shock resistance: It has good thermal shock resistance and can remain stable under rapid temperature changes.

Silicon carbide bricks have high thermal conductivity, good wear resistance, thermal shock resistance, and erosion resistance. Therefore, silicon carbide bricks are widely used in the industrial field.
1. Lining, nozzles, plugs of metallurgical steel cylinders, blast furnace bottom and belly, and water-free slide rails of heating furnaces;
2. Non-ferrous metal smelting distiller, distillation tower tray, electrolytic cell side wall, smelting metal crucible;
3. Shelves and flame insulation materials of silicate industrial kilns;
4. Oil and gas generators and organic waste combustion furnaces in the chemical industry;
5. High-tech ceramic kiln furniture aluminum electrolytic cell lining, molten aluminum conduit and ceramic kiln furniture, the lower part of the large and medium-sized blast furnace body, furnace waist and furnace belly, aluminum refining furnace lining, zinc distillation tank lining, etc.
