Silicon Carbide Roller
Silicon Carbide (SiC) rollers are the core transmission components of roller kilns, widely used in the firing of architectural ceramics, sanitary ware, domestic ceramics, and electronic ceramics. Based on the manufacturing process, they are mainly classified into two types: Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide (RBSiC) and Recrystallized Silicon Carbide (RSiC).
Type Comparison:
1. Reaction Bonded SiC (RBSiC):
Composition: Contains a small amount of free silicon.
Advantages: High density, high strength, and cost-effective.
Max Temp: Up to 1400°C.
Application: Ideal for medium-to-high temperature roller kilns firing tiles and domestic ceramics. Offers the best balance of performance and price.
2. Recrystallized SiC (RSiC):
Composition: High purity with almost no bonding phase.
Advantages: Exceptional high-temperature resistance and creep resistance (no deformation at high heat).
Max Temp: Up to 1650°C+.
