Magnesia chrome brick is a basic refractory material made of magnesia sand and chrome ore as the main raw materials. It has excellent high temperature performance and corrosion resistance, which makes it an ideal choice for high temperature kilns such as the metallurgical industry. In these high temperature environments, magnesia-chrome bricks can not only protect the furnace structure, but also extend the service life of the furnace.

High refractoriness & high-temp stability: Refractoriness over 1700℃, load softening temp >1600℃; stable at high temps, suitable for high-temp load-bearing parts (e.g., steelmaking furnace/kiln linings).
Excellent slag corrosion resistance: Alkaline MgO and inert Cr₂O₃ enable strong resistance to alkaline slags and some acidic media, especially in oxidizing atmospheres, extending furnace lining life.
Good thermal shock stability: Cr₂O₃ improves thermal expansion and toughness, resisting cracking/spalling during rapid temp changes (e.g., furnace start-up/shutdown).
High strength & wear resistance: High room-temp compressive/flexural strength; chromium oxide surface ensures good resistance to furnace material impact and wear.
Strong resistance to metal/gas erosion: Resists molten iron, steel, and furnace gases (e.g., CO, CO₂) at high temps, suitable for parts in direct contact with molten metals/high-temp gases.
Good thermal conductivity: Optimizes heat transfer and thermal efficiency of high-temp equipment.
Excellent vacuum damage resistance: Stable performance in vacuum smelting (e.g., RH/DH/VOD furnaces), not easily damaged.
