Mullite Bricks
Mullite brick is a high-performance high-alumina refractory brick with mullite (3Al₂O₃·2SiO₂) as the main crystal phase, the only stable high-temperature crystal phase material in the Al₂O₃-SiO₂ system. It features extremely strong high-temperature rigidity (no deformation above 1600℃ for long-term use, ultra-low creep), excellent thermal shock performance (low thermal expansion, anti-cracking/peeling), outstanding corrosion resistance (resistant to acidic/neutral slag scouring and melt corrosion, little pollution), high room-temperature compressive strength and moderate apparent porosity, with complete specifications and flexible customization, widely applicable to various high-temperature industries, making it the preferred refractory material for the core lining of various high-temperature kilns.
Product Classification:
1. Sintered Mullite Brick: Made from bauxite and silica (1600-1700℃ sintering), Al₂O₃ 65%-72%. Cost-effective, mature, suitable for medium-high temperature conventional conditions; available in standard/special-shaped bricks, widely used in building materials and metallurgy kilns.
2. Fused Mullite Brick: Electric-fused (above 1900℃), coarser crystal, denser structure. Al₂O₃ 70%-75%, superior thermal shock/corrosion resistance, ultra-low creep. Suitable for core high-temperature (above 1650℃) strong-scouring conditions (glass melting furnaces, high-end metallurgy).
3. Zircon Mullite Brick: Mullite + zircon (ZrSiO₄) additive (1650-1720℃ sintering). Al₂O₃ 68%-75%, ZrO₂ 8%-15%, stronger erosion resistance. Used in key glass melting furnace parts and high-erosion non-ferrous smelting furnaces.
4. High-Purity Mullite Brick: High-purity alumina/silica, Fe₂O₃≤0.2%, Al₂O₃ 72%-78%, refractoriness above 1850℃. Pollution-free, excellent high-temperature stability, for high-purity scenarios (precision metallurgy, electronic ceramic kilns).
5. Mullite Prefabricated Parts: Customized by kiln size/shape, no on-site cutting, high construction efficiency, good sealing. Suitable for irregular kiln sections (hot blast stoves, cracking furnaces), reducing brick falling risk.
