Sillimanite Bricks
Sillimanite brick is made from natural sillimanite (Al₂SiO₅, theoretical Al₂O₃ content 62.9%) through batching, forming and high-temperature sintering. Its core characteristic is that sillimanite undergoes mullitization phase transformation at high temperature (1300-1500℃), accompanied by moderate volume expansion (2%-3%), which can offset the sintering shrinkage of the brick body, making the brick body denser and better sealed. Its refractoriness is 1770-1830℃, which is especially suitable for medium and high-temperature working conditions with large temperature fluctuations and chemical corrosion, with outstanding cost performance.
Product Classification:
1. Ordinary Sillimanite Brick: Natural sillimanite (Al₂O₃ 60%-62%) + bauxite/clay, conventional sintering. Moderate porosity, good thermal shock, low cost; for conventional high-temp, frequent temp fluctuation (blast furnace throat, ceramic kiln furniture).
2. High-Purity Sillimanite Brick: High-purity natural sillimanite (Al₂O₃ 62%-65%), Fe₂O₃≤0.3%, 1580-1650℃ sintering. Denser, better alkali/corrosion resistance; for slight chemical corrosion (glass kilns, non-ferrous smelting furnaces).
3. Sillimanite-Mullite Composite Brick: Sillimanite + mullite, phase transformation self-densification + high-temp stability. Al₂O₃ 63%-68%, balances thermal shock/creep resistance; for large temp fluctuation, high-temp load-bearing (blast furnace bottom, glass flow channel).
Sillimanite brick products: Channel brick, flow trough, rotary pipe, feed basin, orifice ring, stirring paddle, punch, feed cylinder, fire block slag brick, damper block, arch brick, feed basin cover, through-hole brick, burner brick, beam, cover brick and other varieties and specifications.

1. Metallurgical Industry: Blast furnace bottom protection brick, furnace throat lining, iron outlet area, medium and low temperature zone of hot blast stove;
2. Glass Industry: Working pool side wall, flow channel, channel brick and regenerator checker brick of glass melting furnace;
3. Ceramic Industry: Firing zone of ceramic kiln, kiln furniture (saggar, shelf), tunnel kiln lining;
4. Chemical Industry: Non-ferrous metal smelting furnace lining, high-temperature roasting furnace, sulfuric acid roasting furnace;
5. Other Fields: High-temperature section of waste incinerator, cement kiln preheater lining (suitable for ordinary type).
